You moved back to the UK and then left again. What made you go?

Nobody has answered this yet. It is kept here because the question itself is rarely written down, and a question that is written down can at least be found.

Why nothing on the web answers it

The forum threads about moving back are written in the first month, by people who are still deciding whether they like it. The people who left again a year or two later rarely post, and theirs is the view that someone about to move back most needs.

Who could

Anyone who returned to Britain after years abroad, stayed long enough to try it properly, and left again — and the ones who nearly did.

What they would be asked

• How long did you give it?
• Was it something about the UK, or something about you?
• What would you have needed to stay?
• Do you regret coming back, or leaving again, or neither?
